  Bista off to Korea

KATHMANDU, April 2: Deepak Bista, the record gold medal winner of the South Asian Games, flew off to Korea on Friday to attend a felicitation program organized by different organizations of Nepalis based in Korea.



Players Association Korea, Entrepreneur Association Korea, Far-western society, Korea and NRN South Korea will jointly felicitate Bista on Sunday in Seoul.


Member-secretary of National Sports Council Hari Babu Chaudhary and Vice-president Pitambar Timalsina bade farewell to Bista amidst a function at the NSC office.

NSC has withdrawn the ban on Bista early this week. NSC had suspended Bista after Nepal Olympic Committee sent him to Singapore as chef-de-mission for the Youth Olympic Games.

Bista set a record in the 11th SAG, Dhaka as he won his four consecutive gold medals in the regional games.

Meanwhile, Crimson International College awarded Rs 11,000 to its SAG gold medalist student Ayasha Shakya on Friday.
