BIRATNAGAR, March 18: Biratnagar-2 has started the Nationwide Marwari T20 Cricket Tournament with five-wicket victory over Itahari on Sunday.
Winning the toss, Itahari opted to bat first and scored 101 runs losing all wickets.
Tarun Agrawal scored 32 runs for Itahari. Biratnagar successfully chased the target of 102 runs in just 11.3 overs losing five wickets. Anuj Dalmiya and Santosh Rathi scored 23 runs each for the winning team.
A total of 23 teams of 24 Marwari Yuva Manch are participating in the tournament that will go on for a month.
The winner of the tournament will receive Rs 100,000 while the runner up gets Rs 50,000.
