MAHENDRANAGAR, April 15: A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army on Sunday disposed an explosive found inside a government office in Suda, Kanchanpur.
Gatekeeper Tulasiram Aryal saw a tiffin bomb as he was entering the room of Bhimdatta village development committee (VDC) Sunday morning.
Though nobody has claimed responsibility, the involvement of Jatiya Mukti Morcha is suspected as pamphlets related to the outfit was found in the premises.
The morcha had called for a three-day nationwide banda starting Sunday.
Services at the VDC office as well as other government offices within the premises, including in the offices of regional postal service, a health post, a community meeting hall, a secondary school and an agricultural cooperative organization, were affected due to the incident Sunday.
“The bomb must have been kept to terrorize the public,” said the leader of the disposal team Padam Bahadur Buda.
Only two weeks ago four explosives were found at Bichpurpuri village of the VDC. Nobody has owned the responsibility of that so far.
