JAJARKOT, April 17: President of the CPN (UML), Jhala Nath Khanal, has asserted that the new constitution would be promulgated in the stipulated time.

Khanal said the UML was committed to addressing the demands of all the people in the country as well as the residents of the Jajarkot district. Khanal said this in a telephone conversation with the leaders of political parties, representatives of various organizations and civil society, and journalists on Tuesday.

The new constitution would address the aspirations of the women, indigenous nationalities, Dalits, the oppressed and the backward classes, said the UML President.

He added that Nepal is a country with special characteristics from multi-religious, multi-lingual, multi-cultural point of view and assured that the political parties have made understanding for the federalization.

In course of the conversation, the residents of the district demanded inclusion of Jajarkot into the Karnali region while federalizing the country.
