  Deuba to fight for dissident students' demand

KATHMANDU, April 18: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, expressed his commitment that he would struggle in the party to address the the demands of dissatisfied faction of Nepal Students Union (NSU).

Speaking at a tea reception and greeting exchange programme organised by the central 28 members of the NSU, who tendered resignation in the party, on the occasion of the 42nd Anniversary Day of NSU establishment, here on Wednesday, he said tendering the resignation was positive to practice democratic system in the party.

The establishment faction of the party has constructed the NSU Central Committee against the spirit of party unification and urged to correct the move immediately. He said the NSU should be kept away from such interference.

Rishijung Shah, of the NSU dissatisfied faction, demanded to correct the decision taken by the establishment faction of the party. He warned of establishing parallel students´ organization if the establishment faction turns deaf year to their demands.

Some NC leaders close to Deuba faction were present on the occasion.
