  Civil Mall adds mini golf course

KATHMANDU, April 23: Civil Mall at Sundhara is adding a mini golf course from Saturday, targeting professionals and shoppers who are fond of golfing.

Nishant Shrestha, head of marketing and communications of Civil Mall, the mini golf course is the first of its kind in Nepal. “The course is fully air conditioned and one people can enjoy golfing regardless of the weather outside,” he added.

The course with 18 holes and three simulators is spread over 21,000 sq. ft. “The simulators use program developed American Company Bo Golf. It has super high speed camera which gives the player real experience of golfing,” said Shrestha.

The simulator has single and multi player option, player customization options, score and leader board among others. Besides, it has features such as accurate ball physics, accurate ball flight, user friendly graphics, network play, international golf courses, stereoscopic 3D supports, unlimited mulligan selection, weather and wind control and player shot history.



Civil Mall charges Rs 1,000 per person per hour for simulator games. For putting, the company charges Rs 300 to Rs 400 per game. The mini golf is open from 10 am to 10 pm seven days a week.

“It took us almost one and half years to build this mini golf course. We are hopeful that this will be the special attraction for people visiting the mall,” said Shrestha.
The mini golf course at Civil Mall can accommodate 70 to 80 players at a time and has 80 seating areas for the viewers. It also has a mini bar and a mini fast food center where players can enjoy food and drink while playing.

Civil Mall is running the mini golf course in joint venture with PG& G Company.

“Introducing golfing at Civil Mall is part of our motto of giving some extra facilities to our customers so that they keep on coming at our mall,” added Shrestha.

Meanwhile, Civil Mall is introducing a special offer from next week under which customers shopping stuffs worth Rs 1,000 at the mall can win different price through a lucky draw. The offer will continue till Dashain.
