BANEPA, April 23: A team of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) on Monday made a surprise inspection of three liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottlers at Ugratara Janagal VDC of Kavre district.
The team conducted the study to ascertain whether or not the bottlers were complying with the NOC´s security and technical guidelines, according to Sushil Bhattarai, officiating director of NOC.
The team inspected Sagarmatha Gas Industry, Surya Gas Industry and Chandeswori Gas Industry.
“We are conducting surprise inspections throughout the country to make sure that fire protect and cooling system deployed by the bottlers is functonal,” said Bhattarai.
The company had cautioned the three bottlers during the sudden inspection three months ago. The team also verified the weight of filled and empty gas cylinders.
There are four LPG bottlers in Kavre district.
