KATHMANDU, May 3: Acting Chairman of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Republican (MPRF-R) and Information and Communications Minister Raj Kishor Yadav has ruled out the prospect of dissolution of the current government.
After a meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) held at the prime minister´s residence in Baluwatar Thursday morning, Yadav said the cabinet will not be dissolved but it is only that Nepali Congress and UCPN-UML will join the government.
Yadav further said the to-be-formed national government under the leadership of incumbent Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai itself will promulgate the new constitution.
On the contrary, Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) General Secretary Jitendra Sonar said the cabinet will be dissolved as per the agreement reached among major political parties on Wednesday.
"If this cabinet is not dissolved, how are we going to create ministries (to be allocated) for Congress and UML?" Sonar argued, asserting that there is no doubt about the dissolution of the cabinet.
