DHANGADI, May 7: The indefinite strike in the far west region called for demanding an undivided far west region in the new constitution has thrown the normal life out of gear on Monday, the 11th consecutive day.
According to our reporters, normal life in the districts of Far Western Development Region has been severely crippled and industries, factories, educational institutions and markets have been completely closed.
Seti and Mahakali Zonal Hospitals are reeling under the crisis of medicines and oxygen and the case was same with the private pharmacies.
People returning to their destination from India have been stranded at buspark in the Indian border side due to the strike. Similarly, the stranded passengers have submitted a memorandum today at the District Administration Office demanding an end to the strike.
However, banda enforcers said that they will continue the strike until the government pledges to keep the far west intact and undivided in the new constitution.
Likewise, the Tharu community has also agitating in the region demanding the Tharuwan Autonomous State in the new constitution.
Similarly, Normal life in Mithila Region has been crippled as well due to indefinite shut down on seventh consecutive day today.
Mithila State Struggle Committee has been organizing the indefinite strike demanding for the Mithila Autonomous State after five persons died in a bomb explosion while staging sit-in at Ramananda Chowk in Janakpur.
Transport services, factories, industries, educational institution and markets have been completely closed due to the strike.
