Store One -- a destination for branded wears

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, May 8: If you are fond of branded wears but are tired of visiting different locations, Store One is the place to be.

Store One - a multi-brand showroom at Durbar Marg - has on sale apparels and accessories by 24 international brands. Promoted by Subodh Retail, the store features famous Indian as well as international branded attires for men, women and children. The store is not just about clothes to suit the everyday needs, what makes it different is the availability of wide variety of shoes and accessories to complement the style.

“The store, which opened in January 2011, is the first of its kind in Nepal. It houses 24 international fashion brands under a single roof and caters to the needs of customers of all age groups,” said Sachin Khanal, manager of Store One. “We have apparels from newborns to people aged 60 and above.”

Spread over 6,000 sq.ft separated into two floors, the store has more than 10,000 options including casual and formal wears, T-shirts, shirts, summer suits, denims, footwear, ethnic wear, children wears, lingerie, bags and accessories.

It has apparels and accessories from leading brands like Wrangler, Lee Cooper, Indian Terrain, Provogue, Park Avenue, Giovani, Colour Plus, Proline, 109º F, Global Desi, Mufti, Aeropostale, Ink Fruit, Ruff, Nine Hills, D´cot, Little Lacy, Skechers, Catwalk, Puma, Hans, Jockey, Carlton London, Casa Blanca, and Gini and Jony. Price of apparels at Store One starts from Rs 199 and goes as high as Rs 19,999 for Giovani Suit.

To attract more customers, Store One is selling the items at reasonable price. Though price of many products has increased in international market, the store has kept it unchanged since its opening, according to Khanal.

“Customers these days are more conscious toward brands, design, fittings, price and durability. It is because of this factor that we are seeing 15 to 20 percent rise in sales,” added Khanal.

Store One also provides special privilege card for regular customers. In first purchase of Rs 10,000, customers will get silver card. In the next purchase, customers with silver card get 5 percent discount for purchase of apparels worth Rs 10,000.

Similarly, customers with gold card get 7 percent discount on purchase worth Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000. Those purchasing goods worth Rs 20,000-30,000 will get a platinum card that entitles them to 10 percent discount.
