KIRTIPUR, May 11: Locals of Kirtipur have protested against the general strike called by Brahmins, Khas, Kshetris and other communities.
The two-day general strike called by Brahmins and Khas, Kshetri communities against single identity-based federalism is ending today.
A large number of locals attended the anti-strike protests after the banda enforcers encircled the historical city.
The anti-strike protesters chanted slogans for Newa: Autonomous State, federalism with ethnic identity and others and were urging the businesspersons to resume their businesses in the market areas.
Though both the sides organized separate protest programs, life in Kirtipur area has remained normal
