SIRAHA, May 11: Dead body of a 14-month-old toddler has been found with his throat slit in Karjanhawa-8, Pariyagpur of Siraha on Friday. Kishan Sah, son of Pramod, a local, was found murdered in nearby sugarcane field.
The child had gone missing while playing in the front yard of his home on Thursday.
The dead body of the child was discovered by Sahs´ relatives and neighbors Friday morning, the police said. Raj Kumar Karki, inspector at Area Police Office, Mirchaiya said that preliminary investigation revealed that child was murdered after abduction. “We are yet to identify the murderer and the reason for the murder,” Karki said.
Chief of Siraha Police, Rajesh Kumar Lal said that a special team of police have been deployed to hunt down the murderer.
Pramod, the father of victim, is in a Gulf country for foreign employment.
“The mother of the child was alone at home when he was abducted. We don´t know who kidnapped the boy,” Hitendra Prasad, uncle of the child said, adding, “We thought his elder brother and sister took him with them for playing, but when they returned without the child we informed the police and started to search for him.”
“We have no idea why anybody would murder our child brutally. We haven´t harmed anybody,” Hitendra said. Titari Devi, the mother of the child, lost consciousness after hearing about the murder.
Police suspect that child could have abducted to extort ransom but later they killed brutally when they cannot hide him.
