BIRATNAGAR, May 13: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar said on Sunday that the Constitution Assembly (CA) term should be extended if a “complete constitution” is to be promulgated.
Talking to media persons at the Biratnagar airport, DPM Gachchhadar said, “A draft of the new constitution either based on consensus or majority will be promulgated by May 27. On that basis, CA term can be extended.”
He also opined that some of the disputed issues could be resolved during the extended term.
He also claimed that the new constitution would address the rights of all ethnic communities and linguistic groups.
Exercise restraint: Gachchhadar to security chiefs
