KATHMANDU, May 15: Muslim community on Tuesday afternoon announced third-round protest programs starting May 16.
Staging sit-in protest in front from Constituent Assembly building from May 16 and District Administration Office across country on May 16 and protest assemblies across the country from May 16-25, among others.
The National Muslim Struggle Alliance (NMSA), an alliance comprising Muslim religious leaders, politicians, lawmakers, students, professionals, among others, has been demanding that the new constitution ensure formation of a commission to address concerns and problems of the Muslim community.
Besides, the alliance has demanded that the government recognize madrasa education and allow the Muslim community to follow their family law, among others.
