KATHMANDU, May 19: With the intention of offering cost effective education to Nepali students “The Great Indian Education Fair” is a two day affair lasting 18th and 19th May at Everest Hotel.

The entry to the fair is completely free and visitors will receive a free copy of ‘Career Success Guide’ magazine featuring 12 career stories of Industry Icons.

Organized by AFAIRS Exhibitions & Media Pvt. Ltd., India, and supported by Global Reach, Nepal, the fair has around 40 universities and educational institutions across India coming together to show the various options available for the students here.

Students looking to study anything from Engineering, Management, Medicine, Biotechnology, Architecture, Journalism, Media Studies, Advertising, and Fashion among others will find something to suit their demands.

Priya Shah, 18, a resident of Maitidevi says,” I am looking to pursue Chartered Accountancy. Nepal does not have many good institutes for CA studies and I was already planning to study in India. Now with all the options I see here before me I am definitely going to India.”

Shalini Jain, 17, from Gyaneshwor is interested in Bachelors in Business Administration,” I have been here for two hours now and I have found this fair very helpful. I might be going to India for my studies.”

Talking to Anirban Das, Deputy Manager of Marketing and Communications, Amity University, “The response has been great. We are keeping a list and so far around 70 students have visited our stall for various courses. The fact that we are a brand name in good education is probably why we have got so many visitors.”

Visit the fair to see whether they have any particular course you are interested to join at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
