BAGLUNG, May 22: The supporters of indigenous communities, who have been demanding federal states based on ethnic identities, vandalized District Forest Office, Baglung on Tuesday. The agitation group barged into the office and vandalized the office including furnitures.
Ram Chandra Kandel, an official at the district forest office, informed that the protestors used foul language and manhandled officials.
Police have been deployed at the office after the incident, according to sub-inspector Krishna Siwakoti. “We are searching for those involved in the vandalism” he said. Due to the three-day long banda called by Nepal Federation of Indifenous Nationalities (Nefin), normal life in Parbat, Myagdi and Baglung has been crippled.
