KATHMANDU, May 24: Krishna Prasad Sitaula, one of the deputy prime ministers in the current Baburam Bhattarai-led government on Thursday tendered his resignation expressing his dissent over the government´s recent move to extend  the term of Constituent Assembly.

Sitaula, who along with another party leader Surya Man Gurng represents Nepali Congress (NC) in the current coalition government,  handed over his resignation to party President Sushil Koirala this morning, according to NC leader Shekhar Koirala.
