  Sorry, says Nepal to Dahal

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, May 24: Senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has clarified his public outburst against UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and sought an excuse if his statement had hurt the latter’s feelings.

Speaking with reporters after the meeting of dispute resolution committee under Constitutional Committee on Thursday, Nepal made it clear that his statement were not intended to attack the chairman’s personal image.

“My statements were not intended to hurt the chairman’s image and my statements were reported other way in media,” Nepal said.

Dahal expressed his reservation with Nepal and even questioned professional relation the duo shared since the long time.

“I made it clear that my statements were on some current political scenario not a personal attack,” Nepal added, “I never used those offensive words.”

Nepal on Wednesday had attacked Dahal verbally and even accused the latter of using unfair means to lure lawmakers and inviting blood-shed to take over charge of leadership.
