KATHMANDU, May 30: A meeting of UCPN (Maoist) central committee members close to the Mohan Baidya faction is underway at their contact office in the capital on Wednesday.
The meeting is seen with significance as it is said to decide if the dissent faction should stay on in the party or break away in the current situation.
Maoist Vice-chairman Baidya, General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa, Secretary CP Gajurel, among other leaders, are present in the meeting.
The meeting is also said to discuss ways how the faction should present itself in relation to the current government.A total of 48 CC members are attending the meeting, it is informed.
