DADELDHURA, June 1: At least four people, including three children were killed and four other seriously injured after high winds accompanied by heavy rains lashed parts of far west Nepal, officials said Friday.
Police said the storm hit Pipaldanda village in Bajura on Thursday night killing four people. Those killed included a 60 year-old woman and three children ranging from 3 to 14 years old.
Police said four others were seriously injured and were recieving treatment. The storm damaged dozens of houses in the region and interrupted air services.
“It has also affected Bajura airport,” DSP Bahadur Jung Malla said.
