NEPALGUNJ, June 6: Former Vice-Chairperson of the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA), Purna Kumari Subedi has said that the CA was dissolved without promulgating the new constitution due to political parties and their top leaders, who did not want federalism.
Speaking at a village-level interaction program organized at Bankatawa VDC in Banke district on Wednesday, she suggested that people should identify those, who are against change, as political battle is still underway between those, who want change and those against it.
Subedi further said that it was natural for all to feel sad for fruitless four years of CA, but now those in favour of federalism should be united for teaching those a lesson, who are against change, through elections.
She also carried out on-the-spot inspection of the under-construction Sikta Irrigation Project at Agaiya in the district today.
