KATHMANDU, June 7: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday met UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal to discuss ways to end the current political crisis. "We discussed ways to end the ongoing political crisis," Dahal told media persons after the meeting.
"We discussed various issues ranging from the formation of national unity government, disputes on state restructuring and possible reinstatement of Constituent Assembly."
However, Khanal suggested to Dahal to press Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to immediately step down to pave the way for formation of consensus government.
"There would be no consensus if the prime minister does not step down," Surya Thapa, secretary at UML´s publicity department, quoted Khanal as saying at the meeting.
