Apex court issues show case order on Bhandari's case

RSS

KATHMANDU, June 7: The Supreme Court on Thursday, responding to a writ petition filed by political leader Sharat Singh Bhandari, has issued a show cause order in the name of the defendant.

Leader Bhandari had moved to the apex court on June 1, stating that Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar was plotting to expel him from the party general membership.

A single bench of Justice Tarkaraj Bhatta has ordered the defendant to be present before the court within the next 15 days along with written reply.

There was no need to issue an interim order in the case in the context that leader Bhandari was already expelled from the party, concluded the bench.

The petition has named the party, party´s central disciplinary committee and party Chairman Gachchhadar defendants.
