KATHMANDU, June 7: Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D) has sought clarification from nine of its central committee members accusing them of involvement in activities against the party policy and discipline.
The disciplinary committee of MPRF-D on Thursday sent letters to central committee members asking them to furnish clarification within the next three days.
According to Ramjanam Chaudhari of MPRF-D, the party has sought clarification from Pramod Gupta, Nilam Barma, Om Prakash Yadav, Kaushal Kumar Yadav, Sewaki Das, Ramananda Mandal, Paras Sah, Amrita Agrahari and Amrullah Ansari. All of these CC members are close to former senior leader of the party Sharat Singh Bhandari.
"If their clarifications are found unsatisfactory, the party will take necessary action against them," said Chaudhari.
MPRF-D has sought clarification from them two days after it expelled Bhandari from the party. It had expelled central member-duo Birendra Yadav and Rambilas Chaudhari on Tuesday.
Talking to Republica, Gupta said. "We will discuss whether to furnish clarification," Gupta added.
Asked if they would form a new party, Gupta said,"We will organize a press meet on Saturday or Sunday to make our views public." Leaders close to Bhandari said that they have discussing formation of a new party.
