LAHAN, June 9: A 12-year-old girl has been raped at Chharrapatti of Sonmati Majhaura-2 in Siraha district.
Ram Sagar Safi, 29, of the same locality allegedly raped the girl while she went to a paddy field near her house. The incident took place on Saturday morning.
Locals came to know about the incident after hearing the girl´s screams.
Rape-accused Safi managed to flee the scene with the arrival of the locals at the incident site.
According to Police Inspector Brij Kishor Chaudhary, a search for the accused was under way.
It is learnt that rape accused Safi is married with two children
