KATHMANDU, June 10: Employees at the judicial bodies had pen down for an hour on Sunday, demanding the formation a high-level investigation commission to investigate into the murder of the Supreme Court Justice Rana Bahadur Bam.
The officials in the Capital-based courts and other judicial bodies decided to continue their protest from 10:00 am to 11:00 am everyday for four days.
Earlier, they had tied black bands onto their arms during the duty hours from June 5 to 8 protesting the killing of Justice Bam.
They have demanded formation of high-level investigation commission under the coordination of former or incumbent justice on the murder of Justice Bam, declare him a martyr, take action against the guilty, manage free treatment to other victims of the incident, ensure professional security to the justices and other officials among others.
The National Employees´ Association Nepal, Nepal Civil Servant Association, Nepal Civil Servant Union, Government Employees´ Association, and National Independent Employees´ Mediation Center issued a press release and warned of stern protest if their demands were not addressed.
Justice Bam was shot dead at Shankhamul by an unknown armed group on May 31.
