KATHMANDU, June 12: Gazaab Social Ventures, a micro-social venture capital fund that hopes to alleviate poverty through social entrepreneurship, is calling for applicants for its 5-day business workshop and competition.
The workshop is scheduled to be held from June 2 to 6 with various business entrepreneurs.
The organization will be funding up to five business ventures, and the winners will bag a cash prize of up to Rs 500,000 to fund their business, depending on the investment their business requires.
The Gazaab Social Venture’s workshop will help young business entrepreneurs with a passion and motivation to succeed in their business plans. The workshop will enable participants to interact with other local entrepreneurs and will also equip them with essential entrepreneurial skills.
These young participants will also have the opportunity to interact with other young people with the same kinds of goals and could find important people to help them kick-start their respective business ventures.
The workshop will have some very important business entrepreneurs, such as Sonam Sherpa of Yeti Airlines and Thamserku Trekking, and Chandra Tiwari from Nina and Hager, among others, helping young entrepreneurs with their business plans and proposals.
The winners in the competition will be selected from the pool of participants at the workshop and will be assessed on the enthusiasm and the skills that these young people show during the workshop.
