  Dahal, DeLisi discuss latest political development

KATHMANDU, June 12: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and US envoy to Nepal Scott H. DeLisi held talks on latest political development on Tuesday morning.

DeLisi reached Dahal’s residence at Lazimpat this morning and inquired about the ongoing political impasse emerged after the dissolution of Constituent Assembly (CA).

On the occasion, Dahal stressed on fresh polls of the CA as best option to end the political deadlock.

Claiming that a favorable environment is being created among the political parties of late, Dahal vowed to move ahead forging consensus with the political parties.
Dahal added that his party is ready to discuss all options with other political parties.

During the meeting, the US ambassador for Nepal, expressed his concern over a report that a group of former Maoist combatants allegedly pressurized Hetaunda-based industries demanding jobs.

Responding to DeLisi’s concern Dahal said that alleged incident was against the party line and vowed to take actions if found guilty.

On the occasion DeLisi emphasized on consensus among all the political stake holders for prosperity of the country.
