RSS

KATHMANDU, June 12: In a response to a writ petition filed against the termination of Gorkhapatra Sansthan Chairman Ram Kishor Singh from the post, the Supreme Court ( SC) on Tuesday issued a show cause notice with an interim order in the name of the government.

A single bench of Justice Tahir Ali Ansari issued an order to this effect, asking the defendant to be present before the court along with a written replay within the next 15 days. Similarly, the government has been urged not to take any actions regarding the decision until the next order was issued.

Singh had moved to the apex court on Monday after he was relieved of the post on June 7.

It may be noted that the Council of Ministers recently decided to terminate Singh from the post. He was appointed to the post on 26th Ashoj, 2068 BS for the term of two years
