NA to probe illegal deer hunting

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, June 14: The Nepal Army (NA) on Thursday said that it has formed a board of inquiry to probe into involvement of Captain Kuldip Kunwar in the illegal hunting of deer at the Chitwan National Park (CNP).

Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the NA Public Relations Directorate said it has already begun investigation into the incident by setting up a board of inquiry as per the Military Act.

"The investigation report will be made public once the court submits its reports," reads the statement.

Police on Wednesday had arrested Kunwar, former NA General Sagar Samsher JBR and another retired army man Sitaram Karki for allegedly hunting deer at the CNP.
