KHALANGA, (Baitadi), June 15: A woman was injured in a gunfire opened by her own father-in-law in Baitadi on Thursday night.
Tara Thalal, 32, of Dehimandau VDC-9 sustained serious bullet injuries after her father-in-law Premsingh Thalal, 67, opened gunfire following a family dispute.

Injured Thalal was referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment after she could not be treated in Baitadi, according to Chief District Officer of Baitadi Govinda Mani Bhurtel. She has suffered bullet injuries on her left hand.
It is learnt that the father-in- law Thalal had a dispute with his son Karan and fired the shot in anger but it accidentally hit the daughter-in-law.
Following the incident, police has arrested Mr Thalal for further investigation into the case.
