  Chitwan death toll reaches four

CHITWAN, June 18: One more person died on Monday morning after consuming poisonous mushroom in Chitwan, raising the death toll to four.

Buddhi Bahadur Chepang, 34, who was undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital died this morning.

Three members of Chepang´s family died Sunday and two were said to be in critical condition after consuming wild mushroom, at Kabilas-7 Chaukidada.

Somati, 30, Buddhi Bahadur’s wife and one of their son Man Bahadur died on Sunday while their another son Santa Kumar died on Saturday.

Somati´s eldest son Arjun is admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital. They were all hospitalized last Wednesday.

Two other children of Buddhi Bahadur and his parents survived as they did not consume the mushroom.

Last year eight members of a family had died after consuming poisonous mushroom in Kanda Village, Lothar of Chitwan.
