KATHMANDU, June 20: Campaigning for voting for Pulsar Popular Player of the Year, one of the eight categories of Pulsar Sports Award being organized by NSJF annually, has heated up in recent days with supporters of nominees putting up billboards, distributing phamplets and forming support committees.
The winner of the category will be decided through sms voting.
In the Far-western Region, the home area of sprinter Sabita Chaudhary, locals formed different committees and sub committees to support her. They have also placed billboards at the main center of the Dhangadhi.
Similarly, fans of star footballer Bharat Khawas have also started campaigning by starting a facebook page. They are also busy distributing pamphlets at the ongoing group D qualifiers of AFC U-22 Championship at the Dasharath Stadium. Khawas is the captain of U-22 squad.
Volleyball ace Ramila Tandukar is off to Rasuwa to take part in a tournament and campaign for voting.
Meanwhile, the denizens of Bhairahawa and cricket fans have started campaigning for cricketer Shakti Gauchan who is originally from Bhairahawa. Similarly, supporters of Nepal No 1 women tennis player Aslesha Lissanevitch have started putting up pamphlets around Tokha and have started door-to-door campaigning for her.
