KATHMANDU, June 21: Indian government has agreed to provide Rs 40.6 million for the construction of a double story college building under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Program.
A memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed between the Embassy of India and District Development Committee, Tanahun and Aanbookhaireni Campus, Thursday.
According to a press statement issued by the embassy, this is the fourth development project in Tanahun being undertaken with the Indian assistance under Small Development Projects.
The existing infrastructure of the campus providing Bachelor´s Degree in Humanities, Education and Management has its existing infrastructures dilapidated and inadequate to accommodate the students.
"The new building will help in the creation of better facilities for over 700 students, about 65% of whom are girls and would create an improved environment for learning and contribute to the development of education in the district," said the statement.
