KHOTANG, June 22: Two women who fell unconscious after they were struck by lightning on Thursday evening died this morning. They are 59-year-old Kamalsari Rai and 29-year-old Devi Tamang of Haunchur-1.

Sanman Tamang who also fell unconscious in the incident has not regained consciousness, locals said. A police team has been dispatched to the incident site this morning, according to the District Police Office, Khotang.

The lightning has also damaged houses at Lekgaon, Gopikharka and Nigale in the area.
