KATHMANDU, June 24: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel has been admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) Sunday morning with pneumonia and high blood pressure.
Paudel, who was suffering from common cold for the past few days and is also taking regular medications for blood pressure, had elevated blood pressure in the morning and was rushed to the hospital.
“He has contracted community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and we have started giving him medicines for pneumonia. His blood pressure is under control now,” Dr Kabirnath Yogi, who is involved in Paudel´s treatment, said.
He is at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dr Yogi said he has to stay for three to five days at the hospital.
