RSS

KATHMANDU, June 25: The Supreme Court (SC) has called both ruling parties and oppositions on July 1 to discuss whether or not to issue an interim order regarding the budget that the government was likely to bring without political consensus.

A single bench of Justice Sushila Karki issued an order to this end on Monday after hearing by legal practitioners over the writ filed by advocate Rajesh Silwal demanding the interim order to prevent the government from brining budget without forging consensus.

Advocate Silwal had filed the writ making Prime Minister and Office of the Prime Minister, and Finance Ministry defendants.

The writ had also demanded to issue the interim order not to bring the budget until the writ was finalized stating that the article 43 of the Interim Constitution has a provision to run the government based on political consensus and the article 88 has a provision of passing the ordinance through the people-elected body
