Former MPRF-D leaders all set to announce new party

KATHMANDU, June 26: Former leaders of the Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D) on Tuesday said they have completed all necessary preparations for the announcement of a new party.
"We have completed all the preparations for the gathering called for tomorrow (Wednesday). The new party will be announced after the gathering," said Sharat Singh Bhandari at a press meet in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
He said the gathering would endorse the statute, name and flag of the new party. "Our party will be inclusive and will accommodate Madhesis, Dalit, Muslims and women," said Bhandari, adding, "The new party will also have 33 percent seats reserved for women." He said the party would also give youths a leading a role in the party.

Bhandari said around 2,500 leaders and cadres from 27 districts would attend the gathering at the Rastriya Sabha Griha in the capital. The new party would then be announced on Thursday amid a press conference.
Bhandari and several other central committee members had been expelled from MPRF-D for their alleged involvement in activities against the party´s policy and discipline last month.
