KATHMANDU, June 28: The central committee meeting of newly formed the CPN-Maoist has chosen leader Mohan Baidya as party chairman on Thursday.
It has also endorsed the name of CP Gajurel as vice chairman, Ram Bahadur Thapa as general secretary, Netra Bikram Chand and Dev Gurung as secretaries and Pampha Bhushal as party spokesperson.
The first CC meeting which concluded today, also decided to hold party general convention in December, spokesperson Pampha Bhushal informed.
According to her, the party has also decided to carry out the membership distribution and renewal campaign, citing the general convention.
The meeting has also decided to form eight bureaus with the leadership of politburo members.
It has allocated the responsibilities to 32 cc members in the state committees.
Similarly, the meeting has also decided to circulate all the decisions taken by the party central committee and the national gathering to all the lower level committees.
