  Thakur calls on NC Prez Koirala

KATHMANDU, June 28: President of Nepali Congress (NC), Shushil Koirala, and Chairman of Terai-Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP), Mahantha Thakur, have hold discussions on the latest political developments in the country.

During the meeting that took place at Koirala´s residence in Maharajgunj, the two leaders held discussions on the matters relating to future strategy necessary for resolving the current political crisis in the country.

Stating that there was no alternative for parties to moving ahead on the basis of extensive national consensus, leader Koirala stressed that all the parties should be positive towards forging the national consensus.

Talking to media persons following the meeting, TMDP Chairman Thakur said that during his meeting with the Congress President he underlined the need of fresh agreement among the parties in context that the government has already announced fresh Constituent Assembly elections for November 22, this year.
