KATHMANDU, July 1: The Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML have decided to oppose the caretaker government´s move to bring the budget for the upcoming fiscal year without forging consensus.
Taking to media persons after the meeting with NC President Sushil Koirala, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said that they have decided to stage protests if the government brings the new budget without forging consensus between the political parties.
According to Khanal´s personal secretary Ram Babu Adhikari, the meeting also dwelled on the formation of a national consensus government. “Such a budget will have a negative impact on the country´s economy,” he said.
