RSS

KATHMANDU, July 7: Nepal Student Union (NSU), a sister organization of the Nepali Congress, has begun removing the showy hoarding boards of private collages named after foreign places in the Kathmandu Valley.

In this connection, the NSU removed the hoarding boards at New Baneshwor and Old Baneshwor on Saturday morning.

NSU Chairman Ranjit Karna said they removed the gaudy hoarding boards of the educational institutes as per the program because such advertisements were making students more confused about selecting proper colleges.

Five hoarding boards of the schools and colleges named, imitating foreign college names were removed and it would be continued, he added, expecting hope that even the Kathmandu Metropolis would help NSU in this drive.

The NSU has stressed on naming school and collages by reflecting the Nepali origin.
