PUSHPA RAJ JOSHI

DOTI, July 11: With diarrhea-related cases increasing in the district hospital, patients are being treated on the floor and corridor of the hospital. Up to three patients are sharing one hospital bed.

The district hospital said that within a week 130 diarrheal patients received treatment at the emergency ward. Doctors say that the outbreak has reached epidemic levels in the district.

The disease has spread to Kathmandu [in Doti], Baglek, Sanagaun, Kherssain, Gairagaun, Kalena and in several wards of Silgadhi municipality.
