KATHMANDU, July 11: Police on Wednesday arrested a fraudster who left two Nepalis, aspiring to pursue foreign employment in Hong Kong, stranded at the Guangzhou airport in China, earlier.
A squad from Nepal Police’s Central Bureau of Investigation arrested Raju KC (Khatri), 44, from Kumarigal where he was in hiding.
The Foreign Employment Tribunal (FET) had slapped Rs 5 lakhs in compensation and another Rs one lakh in fine on KC, convicting him in the case two years ago.
KC, a permanent resident of Bageshwori-3, had been on the run following the FET hearing. Police have presented him before the Kathmandu district court today itself.
