Election best alternative to end current pol stalemate: Nidhi

BIRGUNJ, July 17: Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi has said the election is the best alternative to resolving complicated political issues and writing democratic republican constitution.
Reinstatement of the CA could also be thought to draft the democratic republican constitution along with federalism and settle complicated political issues, said NC leader Nidhi while speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union, Parsa Chapter on Tuesday.
He added that the political parties need to have political consensus and collaboration no matter whether the CA is reinstated or the nation goes for fresh CA elections.
There was no alternative for political parties to forging consensus to end current constitutional and political crisis in the country, Nidhi said.
"The caretaker prime minister´s desire to remain in the power for a long time is not good for the sake of nation," he said, adding, "Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai should resign from the post to find a way out to the current political impasse."
