KATHMANDU, July 17: The government has increased investment in the public enterprises in the last fiscal year.
The government had invested Rs. 92.19 billion in different 37 enterprises run under the government ownership in the last fiscal year.
According to data, the government has recently made public, the government invested around Rs. 9.44 billion more in the public enterprises in the fiscal year 2011/12, comparing to the previous year.
Similarly, the government has increased loan investment in the state-run enterprises of late. The government invested Rs. 21.9 billion internal loan and Rs. 73.2 billion external loan in these enterprises.
The Nepal Oil Corporation, Nepal Electricity Authority, Nepal Drug Limited and Nepal Drinking Water Corporation are among those State-run enterprises.
