REPUBLICA ONLINE

JAJARKOT, July 21: A boy has been killed by a snake bite in Punma VDC, Rupakot on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as a seven-year-old Yaghya Bahadur Karki.

According to a local, Tul Bahadur Buda, the boy died after the family failed to rush him to the hospital and instead opted for a treatment at home.

The family was forced to treat the boy at home due to lack of a health clinic in the VDC, informed deceased´s mother Bishnu Kala.

Karki was a second grader at the Surya Jyoti Secondary School.

A buffalo belonging to the family has also died in the same incident, after being bitten by the snake.
