KATHMANDU, July 28: Jagjeet Shrestha has joined premier division Friends´ Club for the current season. Shrestha signed the contract with Friends´ last week. Friends´ President Ratna Sumsher Rana said Shrestha had reached an internal agreement with the club.
Earlier, Shreshta who had faced a month-long ban from All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on disciplinary reason, had struck internal agreement with Three Star Club.
According to Rana, the agreement was sealed after Shrestha was given release letter by Three Star. Shrestha is the fourth signing of Friends Club after the completion of British Gurkha Cup which marked the beginning of the new season of Nepali football.
Earlier, the club had signed national team skipper Sagar Thapa, Nirajan Khadka and Deepak Bhusal. According to Rana, Shrestha would be paid around Rs 40,000 per month for his services.
