  Locals obstruct East-West Highway in Nawalparasi

CHITWAN, Aug 1: Locals have obstructed the Gaidakot section of the East-West Highway in Nawalaparasi district on Wednesday over the death of a youth in a road accident.

Yogesh BK, 25, a motorcyclist, had died on way to Bharatpur Hospital after a truck (Na 2 Kha 8658) heading to the west from Narayanghat hit the bike that BK was riding at around 10  this morning.

Locals have enforced a chakkajam along the Gaidakot section of the highway near by the Bhrikuti Paper Factory, demanding compensation for the bereaved family. A long queue of vehicles can be seen on the highway due to the obstruction.



A mangled remains of a motorcycle which was hit by the truck.
