BUSINESS BRIEFS: Ncell launches MyNewNumber service

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Aug 1: In a bid to lure subscribers from other networks, Ncell has announced a new service under which subscribers of other networks can switch to its network without having to worry about missing calls made to their old numbers.

Under its MyNewNumber scheme, the operator notifies subscribers, who have switched to Ncell from other networks, about the details of persons making calls to their old numbers.

“After switching to MyNewNumber, customers will not have to carry their old SIM card as the information about all the calls of the old number will come in the customer´s Ncell number through a message. Similarly, the person who dials the old number will also get to know about the changed number through a voice message and an SMS,” Ncell said in a statement.

Sanju Koirala, corporate communication manager of Ncell, said the new service is aimed at persons who are interested to change their number and switch to Ncell. She also said all Ncell Pro plan users can enjoy the service.
